Test Box for LP module commissioning
Overview
The Test Box is a drift chamber specifically designed to commission the readout modules of the large prototype.
It is composed of a gas-tight vessel made with steel and aluminum, a drift cage mounted between the 2 end plates of the gas container and the inner support for radioactive sources. It can host a single LP module in the same configuration to be used in the Large Prototype itself.
Status
We need to prepare a container to store the unused field rings and the other elements of TestBox
- We need to test the HV stability of the field rings in air and in the counting gas
- Testbox ready assembled with 12 fieldrings (soldered to resistor chain) + termination plate, cathode and ground connection and also radioactive source support frame
- Testbox closed gastight, ready for further HV-/gastests....
