Some General Remarks

All the tools one might need for crosschecks and comparison of calibration sets can be found in the calice_db_tools package.

The database folders created for the IDAG reloaded studies are grouped in the folder set

/cd_calice/IDAG2

In this folder set, there are other folder sets with a version number

IDAG2_v<version>

These versions refer to different correction approaches or assumptions made for temperature and voltage corrections etc. The meanings of the version numbers will be listed in the following sections. In addition, there are special IDAG2-tags that identify a certain calibration set. Again, the list of the tags and their meanings will be given in the following sections.


Mip Calibration

The tags for the mip constants and the mip slopes have the format

ahc_mip_constants_IDAG2_<ext>
ahc_mip_slopes_IDAG2_<ext>

The muon calibration sets have been determined by merging the events from the following runs and applying a maximum likelihood fit of a landau convoluted with a gausian to extract the MPV for each channel:

The following table summarizes the voltage and temperature dependencies assumed for the various calibration sets. The voltage dependecies are used to shift the calibration to the non-native voltage settings that were used during the different data taking periods. The temperature dependencies are used during reconstruction to correct for temperature differences between calibration and data runs.

EXAMPLE: If you want to calibrate a run with the FNAL muon calibration set 741770 shifted to the operation voltage of your run and assuming a voltage dependence of 3.5%/100mV and a temperatue dependence of 2.4%/K, you should use

Gain Calibration

There are no special gain calibration folders for the IDAG reloaded studies (yet).
