The run types for the AHCAL

All these runTypes are started with

   runStart -t <runType> (Options)

Some options that can be used with all runTypes:
-w : Writing to disk. If this option is set, then the run is not written to disk
-p <number> : Print level

Noise runs

ahcCmNoise

This runs takes events with a random trigger in calibration mode.
Options:

-e <numberOfEvents>

Example for run with 50000 events:

   runStart -t ahcCmNoise -e 50000

ahcPmNoise

This runs takes events with a random trigger in physics mode
Options:

-e <numberOfEvents>

Example for infinite run that is not written to disk:

   runStart -t ahcPmNoise -w

Led runs

ahcCmLed

This is a run were the leds are turned on and the ASIC chips are set to calibration mode. The light intensity is taken from the Cm_Vcalib settings of the AHC.cfg for every module unless one uses the -v option where all modules use the same Vcalib setting specified in the -v option
Options:

-e <numberOfEvents>

-v <intensity> (Intensity from 0-255)

ahcPmLed

This is a run were the leds are turned on and the ASIC chips are set to physics mode. The light intensity is taken from the Cm_Vcalib settings of the AHC.cfg for every module unless one uses the -v option where all modules use the same Vcalib setting specified in the -v option
Options:

-e <numberOfEvents>

-v <intensity> (Intensity from 0-255)

Example for highest light intesity in all modules:

   runStart -t ahcPmLed -v 255

ahcCmLedVcalibScan

This is a run with the light intensity is varied, so one can obtain saturation curves and the ASIC are set to calibration mode. It goes through a number of configurations, each one with a different light intensity. There are several versions of this runtype, each with a different number of configurations. Option:<<BR>> -v <version>

Example:

   runStart -t ahcPmLedVcalibScan

ahcPmLedVcalibScan

ahcGain

This is a calibration run. A scan with different light intensities around the Cm_Vcalib value specified in the AHC.cfg is performed to obtain single photon spectra for the determination of the gain constants of the individual channels.
There are no options for this runType.

   runStart -t ahcGain

ASIC runs

ahcCmAsicHoldScan

ahcPmAsicHoldScan

Other runs

ahcDacScan

This is a run to programm the ASIC chips. It is just one configuration with 500 events
